The county north of Spokane is Pend Oreille. This watershed information sign is at the entrance to Pend Oreille County Park. The forested areas leading to the Selkirk Mountains are a quick drive from Spokane and offer hiking, fishing, skiing, shopping. All in all, a great destination for family fun!
Children all over our city are preparing for their return to school. Stores have rows and rows of supplies, moms stand with lists in hand, and kids look excited. There’s so much fun in a package of new, clean paper, sharp pencils and bright colored markers!
These grain elevators are located at the intersection of Ruby & Division. Supposedly there are plans to make the site into an antique mall. It’s plain from the picture….they’ve been there a long, long time! Alone they probably qualify as “antique”.
The southern view from the Children’s Hospital shows St. John’s Cathedral. Even though other pictures of the Cathedral are on this blog, this shot always reminds me of what one volunteer in the SHMC Children’s Hospital told all the children “that’s Batman’s castle”. I think some of them may have believed him!
Need a good place for kids (young and old) to have a party? Check into Wonderland. Miniature golf, indoor video games, go-karts, black light mini-golf, zip line, bumper boats, batting cages…………and areas for birthday parties. Whee……………
Fun shops at Greenbluff. This is a small example of some of the wonderful items available in some of the Greenbluff stores. Such fun, even if just to do a little window shopping.
Downtown….where shopping, entertainment, park activities and more….all collide. Spokane is alive and well. Today there was a terrific street musician for our enjoyment. Visit today!
Driving by a used car lot….and I spotted this prize! I didn’t ask “how much”…..but it sure is cute.
Greenbluff Rd., looking east towards Mt. Spokane. What a beautiful day!
Clear skies, fluffy clouds, fertile farm lands…..all in Greenbluff. This view is looking north from Greenbluff Road.
