North Country Before the Snow
On a day trip this fall we enjoyed the beautiful trees of Stevens County. Close to the Canadian border we found groves of white birch trees and shedding tamarack. So lovely to see!
Before the Snow at Manito
It has been so easy to find a colorful picture of our Spokane area this fall. This was taken at Manito Park several days before the snow.
Fall in the Park
Riverfront Park. The colors were magnificent today. The The Pavilion is in the background.
Fall on the River
The trees and bushes are turning a beautiful red and gold. The Little Spokane River was looking very cold today, but the foliage created warmth for our viewing pleasure! This picture was taken near the Dartford area–very close to the Wandermere Golf Course.
Fall in the Suburbs
We wait with great anticipation the turning of some of the leaves in our own neighborhoods. This tree is especially beautiful because of contrast of yellow leaves and white bark.
Fall in the City
This is the view from the Sacred Heart Hospital parking lot. Certainly it is true that in autumn every leaf becomes a flower!
Before Snow….

Burning bush
No explanation needed for the bright red of the burning bush! Nothing says “fall” like this vivid color.
Last rose of summer
Catching the last blooms of summer. The first frost is just around the corner! The cool nights are bringing out the brilliant colors–take a second look and enjoy!
Park “tear down”
The fall “tear down” is happening. Rides that appear in the spring, disappear in the fall to make way for the ice skating rink. Year around fun at the park. The carrousel stays all year….yeah!!
