Spokane River Valley
The Spokane River Valley is in north Spokane, close to the Wandermere Golf Course. This monument is erected near the newest lower bridge, just below Highway 395 Wandermere Bridge.
Spokane Marmot
Huntington Park (the park area west of Riverfront Park) has some interesting inhabitants! The marmot lives in all the rock around the river and this one didn’t seem to be in a hurry to scoot away when the camera approached.
Spring Trees
Every spring one of my “favorite things” are the trees in bloom. This tree-lined drive way is one of those I watch. It’s a wonderful time of year! Hope springs eternal.

Japanese Gardens
As many times as we can visit The Japanese Gardens, we never tire of the beauty. These gardens are part of Manito Park. For a quiet moment, nothing compares!
Spokane Public Library
The Spokane Public Library has several branches. This picture is the north side of the downtown library building–the glass windows offer a view over the river and falls. A skywalk connects the library to Riverpark Square.
Fort Wright Museum
On the Mukogawa campus I found this little museum. It’s a Fort Wright museum….by appointment only!
Beautiful Rock Fence
The beauty of a rock fence has enhanced this land for many years! Imagine the work it took to build a fence that has withstood the test of time.
SHMC Doctor’s Building
The campus of the Sacred Heart Medical Center stretches from building to building. The major buildings are connected with skywalks. This is the Doctor’s Building as seen from one of the patio’s of the hospital, main floor.
