Mt Spokane

Interesting fact about Mt Spokane: it was known as Mt Baldy until 1912. Locals take note of the snowfall to determine if their next ski trip is close at hand or if it’s time to plant in the spring. Age old gardener’s advice, when the snow is gone, it’s safe to plant your flowers! At 5883 ft, the drive to the mountain top always grants beautiful viewing!

Cheery Mountain Ash on a Snowy Day

It’s not unusual to see flocks of birds feeding on the bright red berries of the Mountain Ash in our back yard. Today the berries brought a bit of festivity to a cold, foggy day!

Sky Prairie Park

Sky Prairie Park is in the Five Mile neighborhood. While this is the last of the beautiful flowers that are part of the natural landscaping, the park is still a wonderful place to walk, play, and picnic. It is such a privilege to have quality parks in our neighborhood!

Shopping Downtown

Major tenants like Macy’s and Nordstrom are accompanied by many, smaller franchise and independent stores. An eating area features quick food and fine dining. This picture is on the north side of the mall, facing the park. Rock City Grill has outside patio dining that is popular with patrons who are loving our beautiful weather!

Labor Day Weekend 2014
